My Work

I believe deeply in the power of place-based storytelling to motivate good, inspire advocacy, change behavior, and attract the right attention.

Background

I have over 12 years of integrated marketing and communications experience working at all levels from copy to campaign. The anchor was a 10-year public-sector career with the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity and the Utah Office of Tourism (UOT). After a start in public relations and business marketing, I added web and content strategy, editorial leadership, and ultimately creative and content direction for the UOT. Prior to joining the state of Utah, I worked with Local First Utah and the Healthy Environment Alliance of Utah and wrote freelance for local periodicals and the web. More recently, I created organic and paid content and managed email marketing in the higher education sector and oversaw marketing and public relations for an e-commerce company enhancing quality of life at home and business through cleaner water and indoor air.

Now based in Western New York, I devote my leisure time to running with podcasts, hiking with doggos, and gardening. I truly unplug while cooking and oil painting and getting outside.

Strategic Approach

“We can be ethical only in relation to something we can see, feel, understand, love, or otherwise have faith in.”

—Aldo Leopold
